Bradford City Council Youth Project come to Mull.

The gang on Ulva during an expedition and camp trip.
Sam goes for the big one!

Climbing at Knockvologan is always dry!

The rivers were up this week, very exciting!

A group of young people stayed with us at Tavool House this week, the aim of the week was to consider the environment and its differences from their home town.
We took part in various adventure activities whilst exploring Mull's coast and hills.
The weather was kind to us this week, drying up each time we needed a settled spell!

Wet and Dry in Glencoe.

Andy and Scott ventured out into Glencoe yesterday, it has to be said it started off as one of the most humid, wettest days i have ever had in Glencoe, however by mid afternoon it was glorious!
We went up the zig-zags and over Stob Corrie an Lochan, an atmospheric and adventurous day, making the most of the mixed conditions!

Otters, rain and hills!

The otters love the wet weather!
Cloud at 800m hung in the cols making interesting exploring!

Ben and Sharks! At the Oban sea life center, worth a visit.

August is here, time to be in the hills again, i had forgotten what my legs were for, too much surfing!

August has hit with typical wetness!

At times like these heading indoors is just perfect, but heading in doors with a 17 month Boy is always going to be fun, and the sea life centre in Oban, added a touch of wonder and not only for the wee man! The Otter's were on fine form, Ben loved it!

Heading outside is a totally different matter, getting fit for the early season is just such a up hill struggle , sorry about that!

I headed out up onto Ben Cruachan's massif and ventured into the clag to explore parts i had never been in or on. The 800m contour line above the loch is covered in streams and gorges and slabs of totally smooth water worn rock, in the mist these seemed spooky and appeared so much more slippy due to the not knowing what was below!

900m was the point of return, the clag was heavy and very damp, contouring around to join with a muddy descent path from an oppressive bealach was enough today, the office warmth seems almost inviting! Well almost!

Here's to getting fit!

FARE from Glasgow on Mull!

River bashing on Mull, just amazing fun for a few kilometres!

Bronze Duke of Edinburgh training on Ulva, rough going but we made it!
Camp fires always best with a sing song!

Kayaking out on Loch Scridain below Tavool House.
13 young people from Easter House, came to Tavool House, last week and had the time of their lives!
The weather was mixed but managed to get loads of adventures fitted in. The Autumn is drawing in the nights getting a wee bit shorter, but the sun still shone for us!
Tavool House is available through out the year, and some weeks are left to fill in October for youth groups and schools, its worth the visit!
This week a group form Wakefield are staying with us and adventuring on the Island.

Two weeks of exciting and varied work with 'the Roses Project' some great young people on Tiree.
We had fantastic weather, Coasteering, amazing surfing, dry rock and picturesque hill walking on beautiful coastline and white shell beaches.
Back to Mull on Saturday.....

Tiree, surf, rock and sun!

Another amazing week on Tiree!

Evenings after work with Joe were spent, surfing, doing new routes and open boating when no surf!
