New Coasteering route on Mull.

Today Myself, Liam Irving and Isi Oakley coasteered along 'The Wilderness' from Gribun to Tavool House Outdoor Centre. It's an amazing trip which takes in approx 7k of coastal exploration and finishes with a yomp up over the fells back to the house. There are some fantastic rock structures and caves to explore and great traversing on flat ledges, brilliant fun. We think it's another first?
The tide was low so we found quite a bit of easy scrambling and there was a small swell, but in big swell and high tide it would be very spicy!
We saw tow Sea eagles, an Otter and an Owl, not bad for a few hours out.

Summer Season has begun at Tavool House Outdoor centre on Mull.

Over the last few days we have been working with Hordle Walhampton School. Hebridean Pursuits has worked with the school for many years now and it is always a blast. 29 primary pupils have experienced Hill walking up to 700m, gorge scrambling and plunge pooling, navigation challenges, tree climbing, nightlining and of course the Tavool Challenge all thrown in.
The weather has been mixed but the hill day was ideal being windy and dry for most of the day and although today was pretty wet everyone seemed to just get stuck in and have loads of fun!

Coasteering tomorrow around the Wilderness and then Edinburgh Young carers arrive on Saturday for a week of adventures. Summer is here!

Mid Summer in Scotland.

Hebridean Pursuits Ltd and Oban Adventure Activities.com have been on a wee break from the practical outdoor work over the last week. Being part of a Scottish Charitable Trust, [The Roses Charitable Trust] much hard work goes into raising funds for young people to attend Residentials on Mull at Tavool House Outdoor Centre on 'Roses Project residentials'. We start up again outside tomorrow and we are fully booked until November! It's going to be hectic but great fun and loads of young people will benefit from the unique, Roses' Experience.

We are starting to take bookings for the next Winter Season and two of our Morocco Atlas mountain expeditions are fully booked for 2013. We have two vessel supported Sea Kayaking trips to St.Kilda fully booked and in September we will run the first ever Gold Duke of Edinburgh's Coasteering expedition on Mull! Exciting times for HPL and our staff!

Scotland Outside is looking amazing and after weeks of dry, warm sunny weather it is the place to be!
