Week Two, on Tiree with The Roses Project

This week Andy Spink and Ben Wallace have been out on Tiree working on a staff training course for the Himmat Project from Halifax. A challenging and fun week including loads of adventures including Climbing, kayaking, coasteering, hill walking, and of course surfing!
Tiree as usual was just beautiful! We missed allot of the wetter weather and saw a good share of sunshine, swell and dry rock, perfect.
Whilst we were over on Tiree, Andy Wardle and Danny Goodwin were out working for Hebridean Pursuits on another Roses Project course out at Tavool House on Mull this week with a School from Norwich.

Andy and Ben have been working on a Roses Project residential course, multy activity was the order of the week, kayaking, surfing , climbing, walking, coasteering all added up to a challenging and exciting week of intense staff training for the Himmat Project workers from Halifax.

This week Andy has been working with the Himmat Project from Halifax on Tiree.
The 'Roses Project' courses are by The Roses Charitable Trust, who offer residential experiences for young people from all over the UK.
The week was full of adventures and challenges! Tiree has been amazing with great weather and swell conditions!
Andy is on the island of Tiree for another week of courses and adventure activities with another group of young people from Bradford.
Danny Goodwin and Andy Wardle were working for Hebridean Pursuits Ltd this week at our outdoor centre On Mull. Tavool House.

Perth Young Carers Come to Mull with Roses Project.

This week Andy has been working over on Mull with a fabulous bunch of young people from Perth.
Based at Tavool House Outdoor Centre run by http://www.hebrideanpursuits.com/.
They had a great time kayaking, climbing, canyoning, gorge walking, camping and much more!
It's a privilege to work with such great kids and leaders! Thanks to all!

Danny and Andy headed to Erraid off Mull's south shore on Tuesday evening for a quick climb.


This lovely wee island offers some amazing cragging and bouldering on courses sound pink granite.

wild day coasteering at seil island!











Today Andy was coasteering with Kirstin and David at the very wild and stormy Seil Island!
Swell was huge! so allot of the normal coasteering journey was off limits! However we found excellent fun in the shore dump and buffer zones close to the islands off the harbour area.
A great adventure and a sheltered jumping session in the quarry later on!

Heading back to Mull next week to work at Tavool House Outdoor centre and hoping for some more new routing adventures.

congratulations everyone a brilliant achievement to climb the big hill!


Over the last few days Andy has been working with a school group on Mull, They had a great fun time running around the grounds of Tavool House Outdoor centre, climbing up Mull's highest peak, Ben More 966m and taking part in the Tavool Challenge, a mixture of gorge scrambling, climbing, orienteering and team building.

Everyone was challenged to their own levels and the mass ascent of Ben More was a fantastic day and achievement for all! www.hebrideanpursuits.com
