Yesterday we were in the Nevis canyon doing a staff training day with Kisrty and Adam who are going to be working for us over the summer season out on Mull at Tavool House Outdoor Centre. The aim of the day was a good old recap and specific look at technical rope work in the canyoning environment. The nevis canyon lies below Ben Nevis. We had thought it might be pretty cold as it was snowing at the car park but we were pleasantly suprised how warm it was in there. It was a really constructive day for us all. We offer guided trips in a variety of local canyons. If you fancy an adventure contact us at email@example.com

Today we were climbing on the iconic Buachaille Etive Mor in Glencoe. Steve and I ascended North Buttress and then followed the spring snow along the summit ridge. We managed to climb and walk in the glourious warm sunshine all day. There is still alot of snow in the gullies which may catch to unsupecting walker out, escpecially on descent as it was very sugary and soft. There is a cold blast of snow forcast at the end of the week and what snow is left will consolidate giving firm alpine conditions well into May.

Today Andy was instructing our modern apprentice Glen on the sea cliffs at Easdale near Oban. They were concentrating on traversing, anchor building, belaying and they also ascended some lovely easy to mid grade climbs. The cliffs are no where difficult but just wonderful to teach on and to enjoy a sunny days adventure.

We were working on a D of E training expedition in the Lake District recently and I thought that a few photos of just how beautiful the hills and the weather was would really promote these wonderful hills. Suprisingly the hills were very quiet. We walked from Buttermere through Riggs Beck, into Borrowdale, through Langstrath and to Ennerdale and so returned to Buttermere. A marvellous four days.
