A wild week on Tiree.

Carrick Adventure Group took part on a Roses Project residential on Tiree this week.

Despite the wild weather we had a fun and an adventurous time, surfing, climbing, walking, coasteering and exploring beaches! Film to follow.

The weather improved on Mull this week.

After a wild start this week everything settled down on Mull. Some images of Autumn. HPL are heading out to Tiree this coming week to work with a group of young people from Galloway.

A wild old start to the weeks residential at Tavool House on Mull. The young people from EYPC just got stuck in and not let the rain, the gales and tale ends of Hurricanes hamper their fun!

So far we have been abseiling, walking, coasteering, gorge walking and body surfing. Off camping tomorrow so fingers crossed it all settles down a little for them. The Roses Project offers adventure activities for young people.

Finishing the steep bits!

The weather has been mixed over the last few days but generally it has been very kind to us.

After the long, steep and often brutal ascent of Ben Starav we decided to split Sunday into two. the morning was spent exploring the Lost Valley of Glencoe and the afternoon was spent in the indoor wall looking at all things rock climbing as preparation for Mondays assault on Curved Ridge.

Monday dawned really windy but dry and by 10am it was calm. Sheltered from the NW we had a lovely sunny day climbing on the Curved Ridge.

A fantastic few days with a strong bunch of young people. Considering it was for most, their first time in the hills it has been a major achievement!

The pupils from Tiree Hi School have returned again for their annual mountaineering long weekend in Glencoe.

Today, day 1. We ascended Ben Starav in Glen Etive, a steep brutal ascent of over a 1000m.The ascent was made by all the students, an amazing achievement considering that they had never been above 100m before!

Tomorrow's weather doesn't look good, but we are hoping to get a scramble in with the group.
