Canyoning and Rock Climbing work over the last 5 days in the sunny Largs area.
Over the last 5 days the Hebridean Pursuits team have been running Roses Project adventure activity sessions for school pupils from Balloch and Dumbarton who are taking part in a progressive outdoor education programme with Tullochan. The weather has been amazing so far and consequently we have had some fantastic conditions to run the activity days in the canyon and on the rock. The team have imaginatively used quiet and scenic venues giving the pupils a new perspective on their local environments.

Varied Adventures, Great Weather, Easter Holiday Activities and a Blog Catch up.
This last week has been varied in Scotland for us as the weather has been beautiful. Fell running, Gorge walking, Ski Touring and Rock climbing in the sunshine. We were out fell running on Conic Hill above Loch Lomond, gorge scrambling near Largs, rock climbing with Ali from Spain and yesterday with Ben and Abi aged 3 and 6 respectively. We also had an awesome ski tour in Glencoe last night, descending in the dark from 1108 m to approximately 600 m on firm snow. When the weather is this good Scotland Outside is the best place in the World for adventures outdoors. The spring has started well for Hebridean Pursuits.

The Duke of Edinburgh's Award. Gold Expedition Training in Coasteering.
Over the last week HPL have been busy. We have had a group out at Tavool House Outdoor Centre from Perth Young Carers Group doing all manner of adventure activities and taking some valuable and deserved respite time, on the wonderful Island of Mull. And we have also been running the second ever Coasteering Gold Expedition training for the D of E with 13 girls from Newstead Wood School form Kent. An amazing few days coasteering near Oban and camping / coasteering on the beautiful Island of Kerrera. Wild conditions for two days and lovely spring weather in between it all kept us all on our toes. A challenging adventure and goal for the girls but they achieved all that was expected and they now look forward to their qualifying expedition on the Ross of Mull in August.

Coasteering Site Specific Advice and SLSGB Safety and Rescue Course in the North Sea.
The last few days have been spent in the chilly North Sea. The two days were based just outside of the lovely town of Alnwick. Based in Oban Hebridean Pursuits offer skills training and Technical Advice to a varied client base in the outdoor industry. This weeks theme was site advice and running a safety award for a small, local company in Northumberland and their associate staff. Cold in the sea and grey foggy sea mists rolled in to keep us in the gloom. Having said that this part of England is just beautiful and it is always a pleasure to visit, train and meet new outdoor enthusiasts.
Scotland Outside blogspot has reached over one hundred thousand page views today. I am not sure if that is good or not but thanks you for all the followers and page viewers. Back in Scotland today and heading for a 'look-see-do' visit to a small gorge in the Trossachs tomorrow, so the water based theme continues a pace.
