Staying dry in a Berghaus Monsoon Jacket.
I was really pleased to be asked to test out a Berghaus Monsoon Waterproof jacket over the last few weeks. Unfortunately it has been so dry in Scotland that up until two days ago I haven't been able to test it to it's full potential. Today was a full on deluge on Mull and I wore the jacket most of the day whilst working on a multi activity course at Tavool House Outdoor Centre.
The jacket is constructed out of AQ2 material and certainly kept me dry. It 'beaded up' well and the rain slipped off instantly. The hood packs away into the collar and when packed away it is very neat. The hood has good draw cords but no peak. It fitted well.
The pockets on the front are secured with a zip and protected by a flap. There is a solid draw cord around the waist and this keeps the jacket comfortably down around the hips. The wrist closures are velcro and heavy duty.
The colour of Green was perfect for an evening fly fishing. It might not be to all tastes but does look smart.
The Monsoon Jacket is lovely jacket for walking and smart casual wear. I will certainly wear it again and again.
