Autumn on The West Coast of Scotland and the island of Mull.

Mull from my back garden..
Crisp skies across the Tresnish Islands.

Lovely low sun light

First Frost.

It's turning out to be a proper Autumn here in the West of Scotland, wet, warm, frosts, sun and more sunshine.
I was out at Tavool House on Mull today, we have just had a group self catering in the house for the last two weeks and another school coming in next week. The Season is slowing down, which is a shame because its been great fun.
A little time to pick Blackberries, some mushrooms and gather a few hazel nuts is always good though. The fishing season ended today, the stalkers were on the hill and the sunset lower than of late. I love this time of the year.

Fishing in Stirlingshire.

Crisp and sunny, deep fish but occasionally found!

Mark with Rainbow.

Andy with Brownie

A change of scene for two mountaineering instructors this weekend.
On Saturday I went fishing with Mark to a lovely location called, Third Fourth reservoir near The Bannock Burn. Set under fine crags and with an outlook to the Munros to the north we had a fantastic day on a sun drenched, calm and tranquil stretch of water.
We had success too, Mark bagging three and myself two!
Scotland Outside this time of the year is spectacular, the trees are turning and the cold crisp mornings usher winter excitements to come.
It will probably be the last days fishing i get this season, but it brings thoughts of warm spring sunshine on the lochs and rivers of Mull next year, those uniquely Scottish days and evenings around Tavool House are not far away; not that i am wishing the winter away!

Hebridean Pursuits Ltd

In October 2010, HPL will be 21 years old! It seems a longtime ago 1989, but we have had some amazing working adventures and I personally have gained so much from working alongside some of Britain's best Outdoor educators and Instructional staff. So a short Film to thank everyone who has worked, volunteered, helped etc with and for Hebridean Pursuits Ltd. Without that dedicated belief in the adventure activities, and learning through adventures, over 11,000 young people would not have benefited!

Here's to another twenty odd years?

They have been so lucky as the conditions have been just great for each days coaching and journeys.
They even managed two fabulous evening surf sessions in glorious sunshine and as the wind dropped each evening they hit lucky!

Hebridean Pursuits will be offering sea kayaking trips on Tiree next summer season, come and try it, journey along the beautiful coastline and watch wildlife form the kayaks such as basking sharks..
